EPIC Adventure
A NOBLE BIRTHRIGHT: DEFENDERS OF THE TITLE OF LIBERTY has been used in homeschools, public and private schools and by families as a supplement to their children's education.
A NOBLE BIRTHRIGHT: DEFENDERS OF THE TITLE OF LIBERTY, is an entire year (and more) in which students can learn and live the adventure of the founding of America, from Jamestown to the Constitution.
Although anyone can use this Adventure (school teachers have used it in their classrooms), several principles are derived from the Bible, Book of Mormon and modern prophets to show how America was established by the hand of God.
Though the big concept of the book shows hoe America was established by the hand of God, it is not permeated with religious references.
Many teachers have used this in their public and private school classrooms and anyone of any belief can easily choose to omitt concepts they do not wish to include.
The information compiled in this EPIC AdventureTM is extensive. It was culled from research into many historical sources, now available to you in one volume with all the ideas you need to bring it to life for your children! Resources lists are included.
"Footsteps on the Freedom Trail" introduces six heroes - Captain Moroni, Abigail Adams, Ben Franklin, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and James Madison.
This comprehensive EPIC AdventureTM is for multiple ages,
from younger students through high school.
As with any EPIC AdventureTM, it is meant for use within
a family of multiple ages. Each child does the Inquiry work
at their own level.

In addition, with each new Adventure, we learned even more about how to teach in a magical, brain-firing way. As you teach your children, you will add and subtract the things that work best for you and your children.

KEY POINTS
The Key Points for all Topics are the key information from the knowledge base that we researched and organized to present to the students.
INQUIRIES
A set of Inquiry projects accompanies each set of Key Points.
Inquiries are projects that build and expand upon the Key Point information and allow students to work with the Key Point information in a meaningful way that enhances understanding and memory and provides an opportunity to learn needed skills in the context of mearningful work.
Inquiries include work in all the subject areas:
- Language Arts
- History
- Science
- Math
- Art
- Music
- Movement
You will choose which Inquiries you will do together and which and how many the students will choose from. Students may come up with their own Inquiry project ideas, which of course, is great!
RESEARCH PROJECTS
At the beginning of every EPIC AdventureTM, once you have explained the Adventure ahead and what they will learn about throughout the year, students may take a week to ponder which Topic they would like to pursue in a year-long Research Project (explained at the Academy).
At the end of the Adventure, when they complete their Research Projects, they may submit a description, photo samples, etc. to the Academy for a Research Project Expert Certificate and a place in the Researcher's Hall of Heroes.
